An Extra-Large-Pore Zeolite with 24 8 8-Ring Channels Using a Structure-Directing Agent Derived

Researchers from Sweden and China have synthesized a new large pore zeolite SYSU‐3. Continuos rotation electron diffraction, with ASI’s sensitive direct electron detector, was used to determine the atomic structure of the zeolite. To further investigate chemical properties and to study binding interactions, Nuclear Magnetic Resonance was used. These techniques can complement each other increasing output.
