ASI partner in a product development project with Davinci, Q-Tec and TWI

ASI is partner in a product development project together with Davinci, Q-tech and TWI Ltd. These partners will develop a multi-mode sniffer device for real-time detection of chemical compounds contained in CBRN-E substances. This will enable high throughput screening of soft targets such as vehicles, people and their personal effects. The “DVLS-QT-MS” minature mass spectrometer will be the first generation device to enable movement towards the “surveillance” sensor, essentially providing accurate mobile detection of a range of threats. The product will continue to develop into a smaller, cost effective sensor, allowing the number of measuring sites to be increased. The device will be based on quadrupole mass spectrometry using a novel digital detector provided by Amsterdam Scientific Instruments.
